HIGH SPEED DRILLING – 400 m for Einungstølsåna Hydropower Plant in 6 days

Pressure shaft for Einungsølsåna Hydropower Plant:

Diameter: 1200 mm

Length: 400 m

Customer: Sunnhordaland Kraftlag

The directional drilling of the diameter 400 mm pilot tunnel was finished in less than one week.

Maximum drilling length over a 12 hours shift was 49 m which is new Norhard ROP record.

Next step - reaming up to diameter1200 mm before installation of steel lining - diameter 1100 mm.
