Eikemo Hydropower Plant

On Wednesday 20 July we could celebrate the breakthrough of the 1001 m long diameter 780 mm pressure shaft for the new Eikemo Hydropower Plant under construction by Hywer AS in Eksingedalen.

The drill bit broke through on the exact position in the already blasted pit in the intake arrangement at level 653 m above sea level - 455 m above the drilling site.

After installation of steel lining over full length another underground pressure shaft from Norhard, constructed without need of access road or any activity in the upper end, will be ready for production.
